LES INVALIDES PARIS

My wife and I went to Paris this week to celebrate our anniversary and we included a trip to Les Invalides.  At the Musee de L'Armee we visited the pre WWI sections - I will get to the 20th century sections on our next trip.   Here are a few photos from our visit

  1. Nice trip Bill, been there, seen that, done that, didn't bother with the T-shirt.

Did they still have signs in the Musee de L'Armee saying 'France invaded Normandy in 1944 with some help from the Allies and then liberated all of France'?

  2. Is the FT17 Tank still parked indoors under the main stairs of the entrance?

  3. Enjoyed my trip around the museum the other week too. I was interested to note that, according to the French, the Great War started in 1871 (on the banners leading up to the gallery).

    1. Yup, I saw that too.

Did you spot that the French invented the tank in 1914?
